Are publishers and libraries making a hash of it ?
Will links save your bacon ?

A CatchWord Breakfast Panel on Linking
The Fairmont Hotel, 200 N. Columbus Drive, Chicago
Saturday 8th July, 7.30 =96 9.30

It seems as if the whole world is talking about CrossRef and what a
brilliant step forward it is for the publishing and research communities.

With this in mind we thought it would be good to take some time out and
think about it from a library's perspective.

We have put together a distinguished panel of speakers to talk about their
different views on this topic. If you don't have to rush off there will be
some time for discussion so please come along, enjoy your breakfast and
listen to:

7.30-7.50: Arrival and breakfast

7.50-7.55: Welcome and Introduction: Audrey Melkin, VP Sales, North
America, CatchWord

7.55-8.15: CrossRef: A milestone? - Ed Pentz, Executive Director,
CrossRef

8.15-8.35: CrossRef: A millstone ? - Chuck Hamaker, Head Technical
Services, University of North Carolina, Charlotte

8.35-8.50: Linking: A view from the fence - Chris Beckett, Sales &
Marketing Director, CatchWord

8.50-9.00: Q&A

9.00-9.30: Informal discussion

Spaces are limited so please reply to ala@catchword.com by
23rd June.

Hope to see you there!

Best Wishes
